MP3: “Lisdoonvarna” by Faerydae

Faerydae, which means “gift of the faeries,” is a three-part band from the Netherlands.  The members, Jerina Welgraven, Anouk Platenkamp and Patrick Lieffers met by chance, while busking, and discovered a mutual interest in traditional music.  From this basis, Faerydae firmly planted roots in the Celtic folk scene.

Using unique rhythms and non-Celtic instruments in their arrangements, the sound they create is completely their own, yet very Celtic, and very catchy.
