MP3: “The Measure of a Man” by The Rogues

The Rogues

The Rogues were Voted #1 Celtic Band in the World out of 63 international groups. In 2010 they won Album and Group of the Year and headlined in Las Vegas at the Monte Carlo. In 2011 the US Navy flew them to Guantanamo Bay to perform for the troops and their music appeared in the Christopher Walken film, “Kill the Irishman”.

The style of The Rogues is hard to pin down. They have a large selection of songs from Amazing Grace to South Australia to Winnipeg Forger, which if you listen too you might not realize is the same band.

For 2012 they have been asked to perform in England and at the Tropicana in Atlantic City, and in 2013 they have been asked to tour Australia.

  1. Got to see them at the Maryland Rennfest. They were awesome. Bought the album – and The Gael ( the song for the movie) is just wonderful. Very emotional.
