Review: “One Drop of Whiskey” by The Canny Brothers Band

The versatility of this band is evident in the album “One Drop of Whiskey.”  The album starts off with a rocking song about the boxer Dan Donnelly titled “Donnelly.”  One can almost detect a hint of bluegrass in this tune.  The crispness of “Donnelly” is followed by the punkish sound of the Saw Doctors cover “Green and Red of Mayo.”  This is followed with the title track, “One Drop of Whiskey” which just begs for a place in your St. Patrick’s … Continue reading
